  • Academic Achievement: You must have a strong academic record, particularly in subjects relevant to your chosen STEM field. This typically translates to having completed year 12 in the two years prior to the scholarship year (2022 or 2023) and achieving a high score (specific score requirements are not mentioned but generally a very good grade).
  • Course Selection: In the year you apply for the scholarship, you cannot have completed more than one semester in specific UQ undergraduate programs, including Bachelor of Computer Science, Engineering (Honours), Engineering integrated programs, Bachelor of Science, Advanced Science (Honours), Information Technology, Mathematics, or dual programs involving any of these.
  • Prior Studies: You cannot have undertaken any tertiary studies at the Bachelor level or higher before enrolling in the approved UQ program, with the exception of special university programs designed for high school students.
  • Unique Qualities: The scholarship selection committee looks for students who demonstrate leadership potential, a commitment to community service, and a strong alignment with the Liveris Academy’s graduate attributes. These attributes include academic excellence, a willingness to participate in extracurricular activities at UQ, and a keen interest in the developmental programs offered by the Liveris Academy.
  • Scholarship Stacking: You cannot hold another scholarship that is deemed similar to the Liveris Academy Undergraduate Scholarship by the selection committee.

What You Will Get

As a Liveris Academy Undergraduate Scholar, you’ll receive a scholarship of $10,000 per year to help cover your tuition fees. This financial support can significantly reduce the financial burden of your education and allow you to focus on your studies. In addition to the financial award, you’ll also be eligible for up to $10,000 in travel support for approved gap semesters, exchange programs, or internship opportunities. This travel support allows you to gain valuable international experience and broaden your horizons as you pursue your academic goals.

How to Apply

The application process for the Liveris Academy Undergraduate Scholarship is competitive. To be considered, you’ll need to submit the following materials:

  • Cover Letter: This is your opportunity to introduce yourself, highlight your academic achievements, and explain why you are a strong candidate for the scholarship.
  • Resume: Your resume should showcase your academic background, relevant skills, extracurricular activities, and any awards or recognitions you’ve received.
  • Academic Transcripts: Submit copies of your semester 2 Year 11 report and semester 1 Year 12 report (or equivalent) or your most recent university transcript if you’re already attending UQ.
  • Online Application Form: The online application form will likely ask you to provide additional information about your academic goals, interests, and motivations.
  • Short Video and Essay Questions: You’ll be required to create a short video (no longer than 1 minute) and answer a few short essay questions. These components allow you to showcase your personality, creativity, and how you meet the scholarship’s selection criteria.
