You are going to love making these crowns. They’re so cute and easy to make. And if you want them to match your baby shower theme, well, that’s as easy as changing the color of the felt! So go ahead and get creative!
Crown for Baby Shower.
The crown is a symbol of royalty and is worn by the mother-to-be. It can be made from felt, tulle, or fabric. The crown can be decorated with beads, flowers, or other decorations.
Assemble the crowns.
- Cut the felt into a circle.
- Cut the tulle into a circle.
- Glue the tulle to the felt, leaving an inch of space between them when you’re done gluing. It should look like this:
- (Tulle) * (Felt)
- Glue one end of your headband to the felt, trimming off any excess if necessary and making sure that it is secure on both sides by pressing down firmly with your fingers. It should now look like this:
(Headband) (Felt)
The other end of your headband should now be sticking straight up in midair because there are no more layers left for it to attach itself to as long as you have glued down both pieces well! If this bothers you, feel free to add another piece of fabric or ribbon under it in order for things not look so barebones—just make sure everything else stays glued tightly first so nothing falls off later when someone wears their crowns around town!
Put on a headband.
If you want to wear a headband, make sure it is secure and comfortable. You don’t want your headband to come loose in the middle of the shower!
Also make sure it’s not too tight or too loose. If the headband is too tight on the back of your head, then it may start to hurt after awhile.
Hot glue the first felt crown to the headband, making sure that the lowest edge of the felt lines up with the bottom of the headband, and that you have around 4 inches of extra headband on both sides.

You want to leave enough room on BOTH sides so that you can wrap it over your little one’s forehead and still have a secure hold for pictures!
Glue a wooden teether onto each side of the crown, securing it firmly.

You can also use hot glue to hold it in place.
Fluff out extra tulle at the top center point of each felt crown.
You can use a paintbrush to fluff out the extra tulle. If you have a hair dryer, that’s even better! Just do what feels good for you.
